The Coffee
This washed Gesha from Las Terrazas is a true expression of precision and care. Harvested only at peak ripeness, cherries are floated and hand-sorted before undergoing a 30-hour underwater fermentation. After pulping and gentle washing, the coffee is dried slowly under controlled conditions to lock in clarity and sweetness.
The cup is bright, floral, and layered: aromas of elderflower and jasmine give way to crisp white grape and lemongrass, all balanced by a soft caramel sweetness. Its clean finish and tea-like body make it both complex and effortlessly drinkable — a coffee you can return to again and again.
 
The Producer
Wbeimar Lasso grew up surrounded by coffee in Pitalito, Huila. Trained as an agro-industrial engineer, his talent and dedication were recognized when he became Colombia’s National Cup Tasters Champion in 2009. Alongside his wife Juliana, he later acquired Las Terrazas, dedicating their work to producing exceptional specialty coffee.
In 2018, Wbeimar began collaborating with Cofinet, allowing his coffees to reach an international audience. Today, beyond crafting remarkable micro-lots, he shares his knowledge with neighbouring farmers, raising quality across his community and strengthening local livelihoods.
 
The Variety
The Gesha variety, first discovered in Ethiopia in 1931 and later made famous in Panama, is celebrated worldwide for its delicate floral and fruit-forward profile. At Las Terrazas, Wbeimar’s skill and patience elevate this variety to new heights, resulting in a cup that is both distinctive and beautifully balanced.
